What inspired you to become a member of the Virtual Advisory Board community?

I am looking to extend my professional network at the board level. Plus, I want to engage with community members to explore opportunities for accessing advisory roles on a regional or global level.

In what area do you feel board advisors can add the most value for Boards of Directors (BoDs) and executive teams?

I have several years of experience in business leadership and board director roles. I have worked with both established companies and in a founder role. I feel that entrepreneurial experiences like mine can be critical and valuable for boards of directors (governance boards) and also advisory boards. I personally work to support boards when addressing issues such as Strategy, Marketing, Sales Programmes & Management, ESG Policy & Strategy and when building Leadership Skills & Philosophies.

What would be your dream company/organisation to work with as a board advisor/NED?

I love to work with and support fast-growing companies with a strong customer and consumer focus.

What book or podcast would you recommend to VAB members that might improve their skills in corporate governance, board advisory or boosting board-to-executive team communications?

I would recommend the book Built to scale: How top companies create breakthrough growth through exceptional advisory boards by Richard Harroch as well as Elon Musk by Walter Isaacson. The latter publication focuses on how Musk operates as a completely stand-alone entrepreneur immune to most advice from pundits and expert circles.
