What inspired you to become a member of the Virtual Advisory Board community?
I wanted to explore board role options from around the world and also to network with like-minded individuals.
In what area do you feel board advisors can add the most value for Boards of Directors (BoDs) and executive teams?
In providing a third, or external, perspective. Often, in day-to-day operations, we get stuck in the same thought processes, and this hinders progress. An advisor with a broader view and varied industry experience can help a company’s executive teams do much better.
What would be your dream company/organisation to work with as a board advisor/NED?
I would be interested in supporting any FMCG or beverage manufacturing company.
What book or podcast would you recommend to VAB members that might improve their skills in corporate governance, board advisory or boosting board-to-executive team communications?
Instead of a book, I would recommend 30-minute daily meditation. I find this useful for personal and professional introspection and it also helps with skills improvement.
